Meet America's
Future Project
At America’s Future Project, we are committed to expanding civic participation, strengthening democratic engagement, and ensuring historically underrepresented communities have access to trusted information about public policy and civic life.
Our organization is led by experienced civic leaders who have spent decades building nonprofit organizations, leading electoral campaigns, managing independent expenditure efforts, and organizing large-scale community engagement initiatives across the country. Through this work, we have developed deep expertise in connecting with communities of color, working-class voters, and historically marginalized populations—communities that too often face barriers to participating in the civic process.
We believe that informed and engaged communities are the foundation of a healthy democracy. That is why we work every day to provide the resources, information, and opportunities people need to make their voices heard and become active participants in shaping the future of their communities.

Our President
Raquel Terán represents the new generation of Southwest political leadership forged not in boardrooms or political dynasties, but in protest lines, immigrant communities, and grassroots organizing fights that reshaped Arizona politics. From organizing against SB1070 to leading the Arizona Democratic Party and serving as Senate Minority Leader, Terán became one of the most influential Latina political figures in the country by helping transform Arizona from a conservative stronghold into a national battleground.

Her leadership style is rooted in movement politics — unapologetically community-centered, coalition-driven, and grounded in the belief that political power should belong to working families, immigrants, young voters, and historically excluded communities. Over the last decade, Terán helped build one of the most aggressive Latino voter engagement infrastructures in the Southwest while strengthening relationships between labor, grassroots organizers, reproductive rights advocates, and national progressive networks.
As both a legislator and party leader, Terán played a central role in expanding Democratic infrastructure across Arizona during one of the most consequential political realignments in modern American politics. Her work helped elevate Latino political participation from an afterthought to a decisive electoral force, positioning Arizona at the center of the national conversation around demographic change, organizing power, and coalition politics.
